1. What does SLIA Stand for?

SLIA stands for Student Legal Innovation Association.

2. What is SLIA?

SLIA is a global association of enthusiastic legal innovators and university students. Our aim is to increase awareness on legal innovation and inspire young lawyers to think differently about the current legal field. Find out more under our ‘Who Are We‘ pages.

3. How Can I get involved?

Visit our ‘How to Get Involved’ pages. You can find more information whether you are looking to join as a student, mentor, sponsor or partner.

4. Is it free?

Yes, our help is completely free. However, with hosting events and seminars, you may incur costs for which we will provide as much guidance as possible in finding financial support through known external sources (i.e. sponsors, partners, schools).

5. Is this initiative limited to Canadians only?

No it is not. We encourage global networking and international connections. While our initiative is based in Canada, our goal is to make this in an international association to better inspire each other’s technological approaches.

6. Can I host a guest speaker, without having a university club?

Yes, and we are more than happy to help with this! Visit our ‘Student‘ page under ‘How to Get Involved’ to learn more.
